Katherine Nix-Tumbling & Tap II Katherine Nix has lived in Southeast Texas her entire
life. She started dancing at 2 1/2 with Sharon McDonald Dance Arts Studio in Beaumont until she was twelve. She then took
dance from Taylor Dance in Nederland for two years. She has been attending Triumph Church since she was twelve and joined
the praise dance team at age 14; where she learned to lead praise teams during worship. During her first two years on the
team took classes at Dawn Fitzgerald’s Academy of Dance. Katherine taught the First Fruit Dancers (ages 4-12), at church,
all through high school. She became a member of a group called Destined for Deliverance (DFD) and traveled with them two weeks
out of each summer ministering through music, theatre, and dance. DFD was made up of teenagers and young adults and traveled
around the United States. After graduating from Nederland High School, Katherine went on to attend Lamar University as a dance
major; in which she joined the Lamar Dance Association. While attaining her degree she taught at Excel School of Dance, at
both the Bridge City and the Nederland locations, on and off for 8 years. God linked Julie and Katherine up after the closing
of Excel. She enjoyed teaching last year and felt blessed to share her love for God and dance to the girls at Steps of Faith
Dance Studio and hopes to continue to be a Godly influence.

Courtney McClusky-Twirling
Courtney
McClusky is originally from Nederland; however, she relocated to Lumberton when she married her best friend and husband, Matt.
She began twirling lessons with her Aunt, Phyllis Ware Mosley, at Kathy’s Twirling Studio/Twirls and Swirls at
the age of 3. Her passion for twirling continued to develop when she became a member of a team in 1996
who competed in the United States Twirling Association (USTA). She was also a Nederland High School Twirler
(00-02). She began assistant teaching with her Aunt in 2000 and continued to do so until 2008.
She also sponsored C.O. Wilson MS Twirlers in Nederland from 2002-2007. Her passion for twirling
was still strong after she moved to Lumberton and it was then that GOD placed the Steps of Faith family in her life. She
was excited about the new start in 2009-2010 and the many blessings to come from being a part of Steps of Faith; however,
she did not realize how amazing it was to serve the LORD by doing something you have known all your life, until recital night.
She is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the LORD by sharing and teaching twirling, something
that has brought her happiness throughout her life and an insight of GOD’s amazing plan.

Jamie Cullen- Clogging Jamie Cullen began clogging at age 7 with the Village Creek Cloggers in Lumberton. When she began, she quickly
fell in love with clogging and dedicated her self to excel in what she loved. From age 10-16 she began to compete in
national and state competitions during that time. She traveled to Nashville and Orlando many occasions to perform
for various events. She is now married with 2 wonderful children and they have been the Youth Pastors
at Faith Christian Center for 7 years. She is very excited about this upcoming year for Steps of Faith and the
clogging class. The Dance studio is a ministry and has touched so many lives that Jamie is very proud to be a part
of. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Lauren Summers- Lyrical I & II, Jazz IV,
Hip-Hop II & III Lauren began dancing in high school as a member of the Lumberton High School
Raiderettes, where she served as a dance officer for two years and captain her senior year. After high school, Lauren was
selected as a member of the Kilgore College Rangerettes for the 2008-2010 line. She has performed for crowds at the Cotton
Bowl, the Tremblay Junior College Bowl in Santa Barbara, California, the Texas Society's Black Tie and Boots Inaugural Ball
in Washington, D.C., and has also been a guest performer for a cruise line, all during her time as a Rangerette. Currently
she's attending Lamar University: studying psychology and attending studio classes in Jazz and Ballet. Lauren sees dance
as an opportunity to express an appreciation for the God who creates us, loves us, and saves us, and feels passionate about
sharing that concept with her students. She agrees with Albert Einstein’s idea that “Dancers are the athletes
of God,” and is looking forward to another year and opportunity to share her passion and faith at Steps Of Faith Dance
Studio.
