Steps of Faith
February 2012 Newsletter
*CONTAINS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
Please read carefully and save the
dates and times listed.
Hi Parents! My e-mail has been
down for over a week. I am so glad we have solved the problem and I am operational again. If
you sent me any e-mail last week, please resend. Sorry for any inconvenience!
*Don’t forget about Zumba on Tuesdays at 7:45 p.m. The
cost has been reduced to $3 per session. This is a GREAT deal!
*It
is time for our recital
t-shirt design contest! Please e-mail your entry to me anytime in February.
The winner will receive a free t-shirt. The theme is “SHINE” and the design will need
to include our studio name and the year. I can’t wait to see the great entries!
Attendance is CRUCIAL from now until Recital. Several
students have already missed 2 or more classes this month. If your child has fever or something important
has come up, let us know so we can note it on our roll sheets. In these cases, absences are excused.
Otherwise, students missing more than 2 classes are subject to be excluded from recital with no refunds for costumes.
Thank you for understanding.
Attached you will find the recital program ad order form. Please check it
out. This is an opportunity for you to share a sweet keepsake note with your child in the recital program.
Examples are in the old programs in the waiting area of studio A.
FINALE practices begin this Friday.
Level I and level II practice at 4:00. Level III and level IV practice at 4:45. See
previous e-mail for more details on costs and dates. Students can wear any dance attire for practices.
Ballet shoes or Jazz shoes would be best. For recital, participants will wear black Jazz pants and
the recital 2012 t-shirt. This is the very last week to sign-up.
Ms. Kanessa and Mr. Mike are also working on an opening number for recital. She has a sign-up
sheet posted in studio A. Students 10 an up are welcome to participate. There is no
charge for this. This number will practice on Fridays following finale practice from 5:30 – 6:15.
Saturday Practices are going to be instrumental in our preparedness for recital. All students are expected
to attend. Since we only have 1 week of classes in May, these Saturday practices take the place of the
classes we miss due to an early recital. Therefore, keep in mind, May tuition remains the same and will
be due early in May so that you may pick-up your child’s costume(s).

Babies- 1:00-2:00
Level I- 2:00-4:00
Level II- 4:00-6:00
Level III-6:00-7:30
Seniors-

Please plan on staying with your child at the Julie Rogers Theatre.
Please keep in mind…our recital is our ministry opportunity for the year. Every
single year people tell me how their hearts were touched at recital and how they felt the presence of God. Even
though these practice times may interfere with some church schedules, we will be preparing to minister. It
is VERY important that all students attend. This is the only opportunity students get to become acquainted
with the stage, find out where their places are, where they go for formations, etc. Please plan on having
your child present at these times.
I am looking forward to a great recital season!
Blessings!
Julie
